Banner Faculty and Advisor Self Service Phase I

Project Overview:

Install and implement SunGard’s Banner Faculty and Advisor Self Service module.
The implementation of this project will provide an integrated solution for faculty and advisors in accessing up-to-date and accurate academic information. Delivered functionality includes:
· Information about faculty schedule
· Class rosters by term (historical)
· Grade rosters by term (enter as well as view historical)
· View list of advisees
· View advisee test scores
· View student academic transcripts
· View student information, including addresses, phone number, and e-mail
· View student’s schedule
· Other….Additional functionality will be evaluated for release as part of the project design and configuration sessions.

Benefits:

Key benefits recognized with the implementation of this module include:
· Availability of integrated, accurate, and timely student academic information from the student system, which is the system of record, to faculty and advisors through online secure self service functionality.
· Improved services to our students. Example: Advisors will have online access to student transcript, schedule, etc.
· Ongoing enhancements delivered by vendor, which in turn minimize efforts and costs for customization at campus level.

Project Deliverables:

· Installation of Banner Faculty and Advisor Self Service module in both test and production environments.
· Phased implementation starting with functionality for Advisors in Phase I and functionality for Faculty in Phase II.
· Configuration to meet campus needs.
· Training and workshops for advisors and faculty.
· Documentation.

· Product costs: Initial and ongoing product costs for this module are supported by Enrollment Management Office.
· Resource costs: SIS technical resources will work in partnership with Enrollment Management resources for implementation and ongoing support.
