Project Overview:

 

Modify PAWS to allow hiring managers to disposition candidates. Track the relevant data to be able to create the year end AA/EOP report, to produce the interview data form and to produce the academic affirmative action report.

Benefits:

 

Hiring Managers will be able to disposition candidates
Hiring Managers will be able to assign search committee members to their pools.
Hiring Managers will be able to select from a list of reasons why candidates that were interviewed were not selected.
Hiring Managers will be able to select which candidate was hired and enter the candidates EmployeeID
Send rejection letters to all candidates in the pool who were not hired.
Know when candidates have withdrawn from the search.
Audit trail to track when a dispositioning event occurred.

Project Deliverables:

 

Develop code to support objectives of Phase III.
Train position administrators on dispositioning process.
Develop documentation for hiring managers.
Assist HR and AP in developing a communications plan to reach hiring managers about the new features in PAWS III

Issues/Risks:

 

1) Amount of development work exceeds time we have available.
2) Migrate to Oracle, may cause additional issues with our database abstraction layer
3) AA/EOP report isn’t finalized; there may be changes that affect the project once we are in development.
4) Need a secondary Oracle production database besides Ringo
