Introduction
In order to check your UC Merced email, you need to have a UCMNetID. If you are a student, staff, of faculty member, you should already have a UCMNetID. Students who do not have a UCMNetID should visit the UCM Portal at my.ucmerced.edu for more information about obtaining your UCMNetID or resetting your password.
In order to ensure that email works properly on your iPhone or iPod touch, make sure that your software version is at least 1.1.4. To check your iPhone or iPod touch’s software version number, simply go to Settings, tap on General, and then About. To update your software, simply connect your device to iTunes and click the Check for Updates button.
Note: Since the procedures for both the iPhone and iPod touch are identical, they will both be referred to as the iPhone in this document.
