Accessing Documents Scanned Using the Kyocera Mita Scanner And How to Scan Them.

Mapping to the UCM Folder for Accessing Scanned Documents

Note: This document assumes that you are a member of a group that has been granted access to the UCM folder on the UCMPS server.

  1. Either on your desktop or in the Start Menu, right-click on the My Computer icon and select "Map Network Drive" from the menu.
  2. In the "Drive:" box choose an available drive letter. "S:" is the usual letter chosen.
  3. In the "Folder:" field enter \\ucmps\ucm
  4. Select "Reconnect at logon."
  5. Select the link that says "different user name".
  6. In the "User name:" box enter in your email address.
  7. In the "Pasword:" box enter in your password.
  8. Click OK
  9. Click Finish

Your s drive should now point to this folder. Make sure you delete your file after you retrieve it.

Using the Kyocera Mita Scanner

Note: This document assumes that you are a member of a group that has been granted access to use the scanner.

  1. Press the "Scanner" button located on the left panel.
  2. Touch "Scan to PC".
  3. Enter 0000 + department code (example: 0001234)
  4. Touch the scanner box associated to you (example: SNRI).
  5. Touch your departmental code here (example: 01020304).
  6. Touch "Save at User PC".
  7. Press the green button.
  8. When you have finished scanning, touch "Scanning Finished".
