Install Oracle Connector for Outlook.

Installation

  1. Click here to download the Oracle Connector Installer
  2. Open the downloaded file.
  3. Run the executable inside it should begin with "con_outlook".
  4. The installer will begin and on the first window click next.
  5. In the username box type your UserID.
  6. Click Next
  7. Uncheck "Add a shortcut..."
  8. Click Next
  9. Click Next
  10. Click Install
  11. Click Finish
  12. This will launch the configuration tool click Next
  13. If there are no profiles listed click New. Otherwise select your profile and skip to step 16.
  14. Enter your UID into the "Profile Name" field.
  15. Click OK.
  16. Click Next.
  17. In the next screen you will need to specify these settings:
    1. Check "Calendar"
    2. Server name: calendar.ucmerced.edu
    3. User name: Your uid. For example, if your email address is myname@ucmerced.edu your uid would be "myname".
    4. Password: Your password
    5. Check "Incoming Email"
    6. Server name: mail.ucmerced.edu
    7. User name: Your uid
    8. Password: Your password
    9. User Information - Display name: Your full name
    10. User Information - E-mail address: Your email address
    11. Check "Outgoing Mail"
    12. Server name: smtp.ucmerced.edu
  18. Click on "More Settings"
  19. Click on the "Incoming Mail" tab
  20. Select SSL
  21. Click on the "Outgoing Mail" tab
  22. In the Settings dropdown box choose Authentication.
  23. Check the box that says "The server requires authentication
  24. In the User Name box enter your uid.
  25. In the Password box enter your password.
  26. Under the Settings dropdown box choose E-mail.
  27. In the Organization box enter: UC Merced
  28. In the Reply E-mail box enter your email address.
  29. Click Apply
  30. Click Ok
  31. Click Next
  32. Click Finish

You can now run Outlook to send and receive your messages and view your calendar.
