Setting Up Guest Wireless
-
Find the Airport icon on the far right of your menu bar. Click on the icon and then select UCM-Guest from the drop down menu.
- open your web browser of choice (Firefox, Safari, Mozilla, etc.) and try to go to a website outside of UC Merced - meaning a website that does not end in .ucmerced.edu. An example of a website outside of UC Merced would be www.cnn.com or www.ucdavis.edu.
-
After a short period of time, your browser should display a window that looks similar to this:
- Click Continue (or OK, or Yes, depending on what browser you are using).
-
You should be redirected to a page asking you for your email address. If you do not see the page pictured below, you may have to manually enter https://1.1.1.1/login.html into the address bar of your browser in order navigate to it.
- Click on Accept and your browser will be redirected to the original website you entered.
