Introduction
In order to log onto the UCMerced wireless network, you need to have a UCMNetID. If you are a student, staff, or faculty member, you should already have a UCMNetID. Students who do not have a UCMNetID should visit the UCM Portal at http://my.ucmerced.edu for more information about obtaining your UCMNetID or resetting your password.
Software Requirements
In order for your Apple iPhone or iPod touch to connect to the UCMerced wireless network, please be sure your software is up-to-date by connecting it to iTunes to check the latest version. Only iPhones and iPod touches with software version 2.0 or later can connect to the UCMerced network.
Note: Since the procedures for both the iPhone and iPod touch are identical, they will both be referred to as the iPhone in this document.
