Computer Labs
Computer Lab Management is part of the Information Technology department at UC Merced and is responsible for overseeing instructional use and open-access computer labs. These spaces serve the students, staff, and faculty of UC Merced in their educational computing needs. Computer Lab Management currently oversees six instructional computer labs that are primarily used for scheduled academic courses. All of our computers are PCs running Windows 7-64 bit. The six labs are located in KL 202, KL 208, SSM 102, SSM 152, SSM 154, and COB 281. Labs become open-access when classes are not in session, making them available for drop-in use by students, staff, and faculty.
- COB 281, KL 202, KL 208, and SSM 154 are general-use instructional computer labs used primarily for scheduled classes.
- SSM 102 is a language computer lab used for teaching foreign-language classes.
- SSM 152 is an open-access lab available for drop-in use and never scheduled for courses.
