Introduction
Computers and network resources have become essential tools for university students to complete their academic coursework. UC Merced provides high-speed network access for students on campus and offers general support for campus computing resources.
Both wired and wireless networking is provided in the library and in the campus residence halls (ResNet). Additionally, wireless coverage will be deployed across the entire campus to allow for a flexible, mobile computing environment.
There will be some access to University-provided computers on campus, but it is strongly recommended that students bring their own computer and printer.
