MyUCMerced

UC Merced has deployed both a portal and a web site. Although some content will be common between the two, the emphasis of the University web site is to reach out to those who are not (or not yet!) affiliated with the University. That includes potential students, faculty, and staff, vendors, and contractors, as well as anyone desirous of information about the story of UC Merced. The Web Oversight Committee provides guidance as to design, standards, tools, and other issues related to the web site.

Conversely, our portal - myUCMerced - is the primary web site for those who are already affiliated with UC Merced, whether it be as student, faculty, staff, alumnu(s)(a), or affiliate. The portal is designed to provide fast, authenticated, access to the applications and resources used by members of the UC Merced community on a daily (or less frequent) basis. Portal access is automatically tailored to users' roles and may additionally be personalized by each user. The standard UCMID and associated password is used to access the portal, just as they are for most other networked services.
