  1. General computer support

    As a first resort, please check the Guides & FAQS to see if your question or problem has already been addressed. Otherwise, please contact the IT Help Desk.

  2. Email problems

    As a first resort, please check the Email Guide and FAQ to see if your question or problem has already been addressed. If not, please contact the IT Help Desk.

  3. Password reset requests

    Password resets can be performed by visiting the IT Help Desk in the Classroom and Office Building - Suite 132A with a picture ID. Valid forms of picture ID include your Cat Card, drivers license, or State ID card.

  4. UCMNet ID problems

    Please contact the Identity Management Office.

  5. Wireless networking problems

    As a first resort, please check the UC Merced Wireless Networking Guide and to see if your question or problem has already been addressed. If not, please contact the IT Help Desk.

  6. Classroom technology (projectors, etc.) assistance

    Please contact the IT Help Desk.

  7. Phone (cell or landline) issues and requests

    Please contact the ITOC.

  8. Faculty difficulties with UCMCROPS

    Please contact Faust Gorham at fgorham@ucmerced.edu. If the matter is urgent and you need to speak with someone immediately, please contact the IT Help Desk.

  9. New Hire and New Affiliate Forms

    If you have been granted the proper authorization to submit provisioning forms for new employees, please contact the Identity Management Office for instructions on downloading these forms.

  10. General use email addresses

    If your workgroup, research team, or committee would like a general use email address (also known as a "emailing list"), please contact the Identity Management Office via email with your name, the requested name of the email address, and the UCMNetID of the individual responsible for adding and removing people to this list. This individual will be the primary contact person if any issues arise regarding the list or its use.

  11. Video conference scheduling

    Please send an email to videoconference@ucmerced.edu with your request.

  12. Name change requests

    If your name has changed (due to a change in your marital status, for example), and you would like to have your account change, please contact the Identity Management Office for further information. It is important to note that the change must be made official with the Social Security office before any changes can be made to your account.

  13. Requesting of IT operations announcements (server downtimes, outages, etc.)

    Please contact the ITOC.
