Active Directory Security Group
Security Groups are used for simplifying shared access to resources such as:
• Printers, Scanners
• Shared network drives
By assigning one or more of these to the security group, access will be automatically provided or removed to each resource as the group membership changes.
What do I need to get this service?
An active faculty, staff and graduate student with a UCMNetID, and the computer and network devices must be connected to the UC Merced (ucmerced.edu) domain in order to utilize the security group service.
Security group set up and training on best practices.
When is support for this service available?
Support for this service is provided during standard operating hours: 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
