eduroam Wireless Network


eduroam (education roaming) is the secure, world-wide roaming access service developed for the international research and education community. eduroam allows students, researchers and staff from participating institutions to obtain internet connectivity across campus and when visiting other participating institutions by simply opening their laptop or wireless device.

What do I need to get this service?

All active UC Merced students, staff, and faculty are eligible to connect to eduroam. Additionally, other users who have eduroam accounts through other institutions can log into the eduroam network on the UC Merced campus.

What is included?

Self help instructions are provide via the self help button listed above.

When is support for this service available?

eduroam is available in all academic and residential buildings.

How long does it take to get the service?

Once you have a UC id or participating campus, you will have access to eduroam.


There is not cost for eduroam.
