Mobile Device Purchases (Cell Phone / MiFi)

Description: 
Centralized cell phone and MiFi purchasing for the UC Merced campus. This includes change in current services and the purchasing of accessories.
 
 
Due to Covid-19,
  • Some Apple products are on backorder. This is noted in the spreadsheet. Once you submit the order, we will check with AT&T on estimated arrival times. 
  • Some question have come up related to data usage. The University has moved to shared data usage plans that include unlimited voice, unlimited text, and tethering. Usage is monitored by a third party and adjusted automatically as needed. If a user wants to call or travel internationally, please let us know by submitting a Service Now request form at the link on this page.
What do I need to get this service?

This service is available to any active faculty or staff.

What is included?

Purchase and setup assistance for cellular devices.

When is support for this service available?
Support for this service is provided during standard operating hours: 8:00 a.m.-5:00p.m., Monday through Friday.
How long does it take to get the service?

Within 10 business days for delivery once your request has been submitted.

How do I stop or change the service?

Please contact the OIT Service Desk with your ticket number or request.

Cost

Equipment and accessory purchases will be charged back to the department ordering the item(s).
