What is happening?
CatCourses is transitioning quizzes from the current Classic Quizzes feature to a New Quizzes engine in Spring 2023. To ease into the transition, we encourage instructors to familiarize themselves with and try out New Quizzes during Summer/Fall 2022.
What does this mean for you?
OIT's Academic and Emerging Technologies group has created this web page to help you understand this coming change and assist with transitioning to New Quizzes. Over the next few weeks, we'll be adding more information, guides, FAQs, and training opportunities to this page, so please check back often.
When is this happening?
Fall 2022: Instructors will have the option of electing to use Classic Quizzes or New Quizzes in CatCourses.
Spring 2022: Instructors will have the option of electing to use Classic Quizzes or New Quizzes in CatCourses. Instructors are encouraged to try out New Quizzes and start migrating Classic Quizzes to New Quizzes.
Summer 2023: New Quizzes will be the only option for creating quizzes in courses. Classic Quizzes will be accessible for editing and migrating to New Quizzes.
Spring 2024: Classic Quizzes will no longer be able to be edited or migrated to New Quizzes.
Spring 2024: Classic Quizzes will no longer be able to be edited or migrated to New Quizzes.
