OIT has replaced our legacy link shortening service at shorturl.ucmerced.edu with a new cloud service called https://short.io. This service provides a number of new features including QR codes, analytics, and link tracking, to name a few.
How to log in to the new service:
- Go to our custom short.io address: https://app.short.io/public/login/saml-init
- Enter "ucmerced" in the "SAML login" box.
- Click "Log in."
- On our UC Merced Single Sign-On page, sign in as usual.

Note: All links created by the shorturl.ucmerced.edu service have been migrated over to short.io, so your 'old' links created in the old system should continue to work as expected.
