As previously communicated, OIT had planned to take UCM-CatNet wireless network offline at the beginning of 2025. As we prepared to deploy this change, we discovered a technical snag that we need to address to ensure a smooth transition between networks. This, combined with the efforts to address the System-wide Cybersecurity Investment Plan (ProtectUs), will likely delay this change to early summer. At this time, OIT UCM-CatNet will remain online and available.
While UCM-CatNet remains available, OIT encourages you to connect to eduroam on all your devices and remove UCM-CatNet. When we ultimately take CatNet offline, you will continue to have seamless internet connectivity while visiting campus locations.
