
Duo is updating its infrastructure on February 2nd, 2026. As a result, the Duo Mobile app will only work if your device meets the new minimum version requirements. If OIT has reached out to you via email or Connect we have identified that your Duo Mobile app does NOT meet the new minimum version requirements. Once this update is in effect you will lose access to 2FA for your UCM account through affected devices and be unable to sign-in until you update.
New Minimum Requirements:
- iOS: Duo will only be supported on iOS 15 or later.
- The iOS Duo Mobile app must be version 4.85.0 or later.
- Android: Duo will only be supported on Android 11 or later.
- The Android Duo Mobile app must be version 4.85.0 or later.
How to check and update your Duo Mobile app version
Navigate to your device's app store and search for the Duo Mobile app. If you are prompted by the store to update the app, update the app.

If your Duo Mobile app is already up to date
You do not need to do anything further.
If you no longer use Duo Mobile on the device
Consider removing the device from your list of authentication devices. Follow instructions on our Duo 2FA page.
