New Student Tips

  • New courses generally appear a week before the start of the semester although your professor may choose to publish the course earlier

  • The Calendar in CatCourses is a great tool for students to track of your academic schedule. It allows students to view and manage their course events, assignments, and deadlines in one place. Students can also add personal events and sync the Canvas Calendar with other calendars, such as Google Calendar. The Calendar helps students stay organized and ensures they don't miss important dates.

  • Respondus Lockdown Browser: Instructors may require CatCourses exams to be taken through the Lockdown Browser. You may download the application here and follow our guide KB0013272 for how to install it.

Customize Course List

When enrolled in multiple courses, you can customize which active courses appear in your Course list by marking them as favorites. Favorite courses show up in the Courses drop-down menu and the Card View Dashboard. If no courses are favorited, up to 20 courses are displayed alphabetically. Once you select at least one favorite, only those will appear in the list.
