Project Timeline

The UC Merced Connect project launched in summer 2019. Since that time, our project teams have been hard at work planning for and configuring the new platforms and all the changes they entail.


Launch Phases & Iterative Design

The UC Merced Connect project is designed to iterate in three distinct phases: 

Phase 1 - Launch & my.ucmerced.edu Portal Replacement

In Phase 1, the UC Merced Connect platform will replace all existing my.ucmerced.edu portal functionality and add critical campus information to build excitement for campus users in Fall 2020. 

Phase 2 - Grow Platform Functionality 

In Phase 2, we'll incorporate user feedback to mature the design and functionality of the UC Merced Connect platform and get additional campus groups onboarded to grow the functionality of the platform.

Phase 3 - Add Value and Innovate

In Phase 3, we'll work to add value for our users by adding even more integrated functionality and curated content, as well as to drive student involvment and platform innovation with hosted student hackathons on the platform.
